Today, with 340 Deep Tech startups, the Deep Tech ecosystem in LAC is valued at $8 billion and has a lot of potential to grow. The LAC region has strong advantages such as talent and the cost of RD (research and development), to continue developing and growing the Deep Tech ecosystem in LAC.
In June 2023, our partner IDB published a study on Deep Tech ‘The New Wave’, contributing to the description not only of these technologies, but of the existing potential in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Therefore, it is an excellent opportunity for our Accelerator to generate a discussion space that allows European counterparts to discover the deep tech potential of LAC countries.
