The Caribbean Export Development Agency (Caribbean Export or the Agency) is implementing the Caribbean Women Generating Resilient and Inclusive Trade (GRIT) project, a four-year initiative (2025–2029) funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC). The project aims to increase the productivity, competitiveness and export readiness of women-led micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) across six beneficiary countries: Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Canada is the primary target export market for the project.
The overall objective of this consultancy is to design and implement a structured, results-driven Launch to Market programme and trade mission that meaningfully prepares up to twelve (12) women-led and Indigenous enterprises from GRIT countries for the Canadian market, culminating in the GRIT 2026 Trade Mission to Canada (Winnipeg, 26 October – 1 November 2026; Toronto, 3–5 November 2026), and supported by a six-month post-mission follow-through process.
Caribbean Export is seeking the services of an experienced trade and market development consultant or consulting team to design and deliver the GRIT 2026 Launch to Market and Trade Mission programme in its entirety. The assignment comprises six interconnected phases.
Applicants must submit the following documents as part of their proposal:
1. Technical proposal (maximum 15 pages, excluding annexes) covering: understanding of the assignment; proposed methodology and approach for each phase; proposed team structure (if applicable); work plan and timeline; relevant experience and examples of comparable assignments; CV(s) of the lead consultant and any proposed team members; three (3) references from comparable assignments completed within the last five years, including contact details; samples or summaries of up to three (3) relevant previous assignments or outputs, such as programme curricula, market entry plans, mission reports or training materials.
2. Financial proposal: a detailed budget in USD or CAD covering all fees. Financial proposals must be submitted separately from the technical proposal. Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs for the consultant during the mission period will be covered by Caribbean Export and should not be included in the financial proposal.
3. In the event that more than twelve entrepreneurs can be accommodated under the mission, applicants are requested to provide a unit price per additional entrepreneur included, where applicable.
4. Completed Applicant Declaration Form, available at: https://content.carib-export.com/download/applicant-declaration-form
